I did say it was freaking insane, though I will admit, 'clean and neat' was never really a phrase I ever expected to hear applied to my pencil art, much less THIS one.

I mean, you can still see the eraser lines somewhat, not to mention the smudging!

...I am DAMNED proud of the camera angle and poses in this though, and Viktor's outfit came out BRILLIANTLY.

Though I really don't want to take about how hellishly difficult it was getting all the lines on his borders done without mistakes, that was HORRIBLE.

Took at least two days, a LOT of erasing and redrawing, bit by bit, and a lot of wrist cramp afterwards, let me tell you...

But yeah, hope it matched up to my prior statements about it!

...though good god, your smudging must be NUTS if it comes out blurrier than this. o_O

...though it depends on the pencil used, so I suppose that could happen.

What lead do you use?

I use F pencil, I doscovered it makes less smudges but because on certain paper it's barely seen to the scanner... the paper I use is very smooth, I'd say too smooth so the pencil is barely seen due to it's harder consistence than HB ones. However using it on a low quality paper is much better

I see...hm, I just use a 0.5 mechanical pencil. Smudges, but only after a LOT of rubbing, which means the longer I take on a pic, and the more lines I do on it, the more it's likely to get smudged. I use some other pencil for shading, but damned if I can remember it atm...might need to go dig it up.

I don't know too  much about paper quality, honestly. I just snag a typical printer page whenever I feel like drawing. ^^

Yeah, erasing makes a lot smudges on the paper
Haha ok, I use some printer paper too, but I can already say what quality it is after one sketch on it
It's best if the paper is not that smooth, or else too much smudges happen

That is EASILY one of the coolest skins in the game ever, and possibly the BEST of Jayce's looks.

...Debonair's not bad, but come on, FM Jayce is like...Iron Man and a Metroid suit with a kickass transforming hammer!

I've done my best to do him justice in a few other pictures I've done, and most of them in color too.

This one might take some time, but you can check those out for an idea of the coloring. ^^

...I really hope Riot starts moving back towards the whole war between him and Jayce again, especially with the release of Creator Viktor and Jinx.

Well...in terms of drawing, it's kind of complete, not a sketch.

As for the contrast, that's why I shaded Viktor and his half of the page more, whereas I left Jayce mostly clean.

The blending problem is because the background on his side is the same color, so yeah...

In short, the only way I'm gonna get that particular issue fixed is if I can get it lined or colored, since that'll really show up the colors and differences properly...

But thanks, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it! These two've always been my FAVORITE clash in the lore, not to mention the fact that Viktor's the reason I even picked up LoL in the first place...

In truth, I'd like to do more with him, but the sheer amount of detail involved means it's both time consuming...and unlikely that I'll find anyone with the patience to sit down and line/color it for me...

Yeah  I noticed the shading on victor vs cleanliness on Jayce, I think the reason it doesn't work is because the tone/darkness is the same on both.  I Think you could really bring jayce out by using a softer pencil (like maybe 2b or 3b), also the outer most line of jayce could be thicker to further set him apart from the rest of the lines in the scene.

I am no expert (nor half as skilled as you!) this is just my opinion.

(Also sorry for implying that it was incomplete because it was a sketch, i didn't mean it the way it came out xD)

Ah right, in other words the actual line quality, of a sort...

I'll think about it, though honestly if it IS going to be colored, this is all moot anyway...

At the very least, I can keep that in mind for future reference!

DAMN STRAIGHT IT IS

Viktor has always been my favorite 'villain' of LoL, and Jayce is a BRILLIANT enemy for him. I've always wanted to see more for them, particularly since Vik is my main, not to mention the very reason I started playing LoL.

...but, since Riot seems content to simply spam all of the Ionia and Demacia stuff ALL THE TIME, I figured I'd just make some art of my own. I can't be the ONLY one who wants to see more of this, after all. ^^

Then again, with the arrival of Jinx lately, we might just be getting back into Piltover and Zaun...

Check my gallery, I've done one or two more pieces of LoL art, usually involving Vik somehow. ^^

Why is it that NO ONE ELSE does this stuff?! I mean, we can't be the only two who freaking love these characters...so why is it I'm still the first one to do this sort of thing for Vik?

Viktor and Jayce will ALWAYS be one of the greatest rivalries in LoL, and I don't care what anyone else says. >.<

And don't worry, I intend to get it colored...eventually, once I find someone with the time and patience willing to help out. This is just so I could get it out here for people to see, since I'm INSANELY proud of it, and am tired of it staying buried in my files.

I can't line myself, and I can only do flats, but I do have a sort of team I usually get together with to work on this stuff...I'll have to see, but sooner or later, I WILL have this colored.

I know, I've seen other Champ vs. Champ pictures in the past - so far all of them have been superb! But I'm so glad this one has come out. I dont even mind that its Classic Viktor vs. Full Metal Jayce (even though it would be beyond awesome seeing Creator Viktor duke it out with Full Metal Jayce <---dream fight here) its still awesome!

I dont know if you are the first one to do a Viktor vs. Jayce picture, but its certainly the first I've ever seen ^___^ I'm also very glad to hear it will be colored, whether by you or by someone else. Which is why I'll be watching your work ^___^

I really, REALLY hope Riot gets back to Vik at some point, he's WAY too cool a character to leave locked out of the meta so much...plus, some Viktor vs Piltover interactions would be SO COOL.

I'm sure Riot will go back to Piltover eventually. I mean, now with Jinx coming out soon (no words can describe how excited I am for that psycho to come out ^_____________^) Piltover is in disarray. With each champ they come out with, Riot furthers the story. So basically at this moment in time, Piltover is in chaos because of Jinx and we got the Finest hot on her trail. As for Viktor and Jayce, they have been in the shadows mostly. I wouldnt be surprised if Jinx gets an interaction with Jayce too like how Riot added in one for Vi. 

I heard from somewhere that Viktor was getting revamped, so he has a rework coming. 

I've liked Viktor since his release into League - at the moment, I'm trying to get better at him.
