good question jordyn... well the drawing itself took maybe about 30-45 minutes by the time I figured out exactly what I was going to do with them (roughing and designing basically). As for the painting part... hmm, I would say that took roughly between 8-10 hours

Well, Making an simple super mario clone is like a days work.
The flash thing would make it a bit easier. I bet you can do it yourself
Or, well I might like do give it a shot. Though I am a System Coder and not a Game Coder. And I code in C, ASM or Perl normally the flash will make it a bit harder again. But then still I doubt it would be a months work.
The thing that is important. Is that making Game Sprites can be tedious as you don't have much space. And you would have to drop a lot of detail on your characters.
The thing is, would you want to do such a thing.
It would be cool to make someform of Super Smash Bro Goth Edition.
Well, I've shed some light on the topic for you. I bet you can find loads of good developers at Kongregate if you look well. And if you want to make it a normal PC game look at SourceForge for Mario Clones. Super Tux is a good one.

The bright, sun-shiney day is abit of a contrast to the dark, brooding backgrounds of the others. Im kinda half n half on this one. The cheepcheep is freakin awesome, but personally I think everything looks really ... clean?
Maybe it is just to prove that, even in the moment where it may seem safe, there's still something horrible lurking. :3
