Description
Presenting my latest PZPTH OC, villain to Jacklyn and her team, Vesper!Boy, was she a challenge to draw. A fun challenge, but damn, she was difficult to create.. I had to use multiple pictures of Lady Starblaster and the President from “3 Big Problems” as reference pictures. I drew inspiration from Tim Burton and Maleficent for her overall design. I absolutely love Tim Burton’s work, as well as the movie “Maleficent”, so I went with a combination of the two: the striped blouse being the Tim Burton signature, while the color scheme - purples and greens - were Maleficent’s colors. I gave her two different eye colors because I have a weakness for heterochromia. I have always found it both creepy and cool, and being that she’s a villain and intimidates others, the thought of her having different eye colors intrigued me; she’d be all the more frightening to the students.
Admittedly, she came out a whole lot better than I thought she would. I kept on getting scared that she’d come out horrible. I needed to create a character that was a villain, and thus looked like a villain, and considering what my youngest brother had said about her looking “eviler than Rippen/like she wanted to kill someone”, I take it I successfully pulled it off.
Anyway, just like with my other OCs, here are a few facts about her:
- She’s the drama teacher at Middleburg Central High, and is quite strict. She absolutely despises children, as well as teenagers, and it’s honestly a mystery as to why she chose to be a teacher, let alone how she got the job in the first place.
- She has a negative outlook on everything and everyone. She views almost everyone as idiots, and that she’s the only one who’s smart and for that reason, it’s beyond her why she’s never won a single mission. This behavior shows when she’s teaching, as she views everyone the same: that they’re all horrible, they’re not putting any effort into their acting, and that she’s the only one who can actually give a good performance.
- Jacklyn Quillen is her archenemy and Vesper can’t stand her at all. Vesper always tries to annihilate her in every mission, whether it’s mentally or physically, she doesn’t care; she wants the brat to suffer.
- Unfortunately for her, Vesper has to not only put up with Jacklyn on missions, but during classes as well since Jacklyn decided to take drama. Every chance she gets, Jacklyn taunts and teases Vesper to no end, even when Vesper gives her numerous failing grades. Jacklyn only sees it as a challenge, thus why she never stops pestering Vesper. Vesper’s just waiting for the day where she finally realizes who she’s messing with, and decides to leave the class.
- Vice principal Helga is her minion/partner in crime. From time to time, Vesper questions as to how she even chose Helga as her partner, and is constantly annoyed and bothered by her random gibberish. But although she won’t ever admit it, she’s actually glad she has Helga there for her, and she views Helga as a good friend.
- She’s from London, England, and as such, has an English accent. This only somehow makes her sound all the more strict and stern when giving demands, and this, along with her Frankenstein-like eyes, manage to strike fear into her students - all except Jacklyn, of course.
- As well as trying desperately to destroy Jacklyn, she always fights back mentally. Since Jacklyn is always toying with her, she figures she’ll return the favor, mostly by firing shots back at her regarding her mother, Mavis. This ultimately always makes Jacklyn confused as to how she knows about her mother’s disappearance, but of course, Vesper never gives her anymore information.
- Unbeknownst to Jacklyn, Vesper used to be friends with Winters and Mavis, and knows the truth behind Mavis’s disappearance; she knows exactly what happened to her. But she won’t dare tell Jacklyn; she’s waiting for the perfect moment to break her apart.
- Rippen has gone and asked her out at least four times now. She has shot down every one of his requests, and yet, even though she keeps rejecting him, he continues to pursue her. It’s becoming a bit of a pet peeve of hers’, but she admittedly finds it a tad bit cute.
- She keeps a diary - a journal, she likes to call it - on her bedside table, where she documents every mission she’s had, or all her failures, as she puts it. This includes her pained days at school regarding putting up with Jacklyn’s schemes. She has even written and illustrated different evil plans she gets to destroy Jacklyn, but as always, her plans naturally end up being the ones destroyed.
More information to come, but until then, this is all I’m exposing for now. Now onto her minion, Helga!!
