Yet again, another project that was done for art class.
What we had to do was a surreal painting using stretched canvas and acrylic paints. Obviously, being a surreal painting, we were allowed to be as creative as we wanted and paint whatever we wanted as long as it was surreal. Me, being the Whovian I am, I totally went with the idea of the 11th Doctor being erased from time because of the crack in time. SO I came up with a sketch of the Doctor disintegrating into gold dust, the crack in time open and shining behind him, with three clocks all set to 11 o'clock (hence the reason I named it "The Eleventh Hour").
The background was originally going to be a dark grey and be stone, but I figured the painting was already depressing enough so I painted it a TARDIS blue with swirls to give it a more beautiful and elegant look as opposed to sad.
I'll be very honest right now, this is the best painting I've ever done and I truly LOVE it to death. I couldn't be any happier with it. Yes, there was a lot of detail which drove me completely mad, but nonetheless, this has got to be my favorite project we did in my art class; I love it so much that I wish I could paint another one (maybe I'll go out and buy some canvas and paints when I get the money <.<).
Anyway, I seriously have to frame this. Honestly, I love this too much. I hope you guys like this as much as I do ^^
PS NONE of you should assume that I don't like Eleven just because I painted this, okay? Eleven is my absolute favorite Doctor and forever will be so PLEASE don't think I hate him!! I LOVE him!!
