You are once again Hydrias part of the Outcasts. And you've been contemplating, mulling over the pathetic excuse for an existence. Of course even that isn't much. You saved the life of two people in your life and yet let countless others perish from fear alone.

You discovered that you have a virus that is not malignant and yet whenever you experience intense emotions it blocks your full power. Your childish antics have let so many down, even you claimed matesprit…who has been reaching out and comforting you in your dreams.

He, however, is pushing you to move on from him. To find someone else.

Contemplating has helped you accept and finalize what you have been feeling lately. And as you contemplate what has happened, and what will happen a thought cannot escape your head.

Hyderon, a well known comrade sits next to you. His sword is close at hand, his eyes lined with sleep deprivation. His horns were once like yours, majestic and curvy but recently they had been destroyed in an accident. The only intact ones rest atop his skull, curving away from one another. He's grown to be quite handsome over the sweeps you've known him, and it's a bit perplexing. He was once so nerdy, so quiet and couldn't speak without a stutter. He used to love to watch others get hurt.

But something in him changed for the better and it was all the more inspirational for you. He even is spurting hairs about his chin, a sign of maturity…something you could only pray to achieve.
You were the leader, and as much as you had to force yourself to keep this position you've not been a great one.

For the longest time the four of the Outcasts were in constant states of bickering and betrayal. It's probably what led to encountering parts of the main session. Which led to the meteor home, which lead to the death of a key member Ophilus.

Your brother/son Lupina, currently in God Tier, hovers over the body protectively with his shovel in hand. You've failed him too, because of you he will never be able to speak again.

Look at you moping around, all he can do is sit there with a goofy grin on his face, looking up into the light of the Green Sun. "Three yearsz huh?" He hums, "I wonder if we'll even noticze."

The chain was attached to the main session's meteor, which was currently starting to be pushed into the depths of a session unknown to any of you. Your slit pupils lower to the end of your black dress, which makes you appear as if you are in a constant state of mourning. Hyderon glances to you, noticing your elongated sighs and hushed noises. "Whatz the matter?"

"Oh all the thinking." You touch slowly with sharp nails the bags that have gathered under your eyes from the lack of sleep recently. Weapons of the past ones surround you, which probably doesn't help.

"I saw you last night. You were walking in your szleep…you went over to Ophilus and held him for a long time. I wasz worried so I came next to you as well." His cheeks turned a bright orange, but in the light you can see his own eyes bear dark circles, more so than usual.

"What happened while you were gone? One moment you were here, the next you were outside our meteor..bleeding!"

"I tried fighting a boszsz.."

"Why do you have to go out and hurt yourssself like that?" You clasp your head in your hands, letting the weight of the horns slip away from your neck. You close your eyes. "I'm not sssure…I think I've had feelingsss for a while and I've just kinda been in denial of them."

"Feelingsz?" He seemed curious, "What kind of feelingz?"

"I've wanted to ssseperate usss from the othersss for a while…but I think I ssshould wait until thisss isss all done and sssaid with." You glance to him, his smile genuine and kind. Warming, loving…it helps you continue to talk. His eyes never leave yours, even when you hiss and your turquoise tongue sticks out. Confidence builds in your chest, "If we sssurvive it all, I'm going to free usss from them asss sssoon asss posssible on whatever planet we call home nexxxt."

"Anything elsze?"

"There are other thingssss." Your face blushes bright, hiding your orange freckles. "But you probably know it already…"

"Yeah?" He cocks his head, his newly grown hair bobbing softly in the motion.
You sit up straight and press your fingers towards his. "Hyderon…I'm ssso sssorry….I'm sssorry I left you. It wasss…it wasss my fault. I ssshouldn't have left you. We let our worriesss about interfering with the othersss messs it up."

His eyes lowered, "No…it'sz really my fault. I wasz the one who szcrewed this up."

"How about we jussst sssay we both messed up?"

"That soundsz good."

"Are you afraid you'd poissson me?"

"Why?"

"Caussse." You come closer, "What if I wanted to kisss you?"

"Really?"

Slowly, you nod. "I think we both had red feelingsss…we jussst ignored them…but we were kidsss back then. It wasss new to usss."

You grasp his hand, "I don't want to be sssad anymore, I don't want to be haunted by the ghossstsss of my passst. I want sssomething that can lassst, if only for a little while."

His eyes soften, holding your shoulder, "I think you're right. I think…that thisz isz what wasz szupposed to happen all along…I'm szorry…"

"Me too."

And with that the two of you scoot closer. Nothing could break this moment. And as the meteor began to speed, the light started to become blinding. But you felt his touch, his embrace. A paladin protecting his rebel. His lips soft and firmly planted to yours, avoiding the touch of his teeth. But you didn't mind, if anything happened you could just heal the poison from your body. You don't mind this, not one bit. It's intoxicating but sweet and caring. Desperately you cling to him. You need him badly, he is the only hope for this passion, these emotions that you have built up. With his kisses, you feel the past melt away. You simply...needed him. It's an alien and unsure feeling but it's so strong.
Slowly the passion ascends, finding him clutching you back in a similar manner. There is no shame, there is only hope now. There is only the feelings the two of you shared, the feelings that you have held back from one another for so long. For once, you forgive yourself for the mistakes made in the past.

It really seems like this was meant to be.
