The two stood, waiting for the main session's meteor to launch. The two of them after sharing intimate kisses now had as much time in the world to exploit the past, think of their wrongdoings.

Hydrias glanced to Hyderon. He had been there for her always, just in different unseen ways. He'd been taken in as a youngling by the high bloods and physically abused for ages before he was thrown into the seas.  They had bit his ears to a point where the cartilage now sagged, giving him a signature floppy set of ears. If anything it made him even more handsome than he already was, well in her eyes at least.
The two were always a bit different from the start anyway, being a sweep older than most. Not only that but their powers were odd as well. Hyderon was the only known one of their species to have a deadly poison residing in his fangs whereas Hydrias could heal others and herself.

Though the two had been created in the same ectobiology lab, they were separated for quite some time. Hydrias found her lusus Syrena, the oversized mulitheadedserpentbeast and swam to a tranquil place called the Lands of Sea and Sand, where she began to build her hive. When returning to the mainlands, she had found a small mutant-blooded grub that she took in after accidentally severing his vocal cords. He became known as Lupina for his rabbit-like speed. Hyderon had been found by her at a later time along the shores of her beaches. Near the verge of death, she had come to his side and healed him.

At first she believed it to be out of sheer pity. He was a tangerine blood, with not much give about exposing his history. He had come to the island with a barely shaved head, dark marks on his skin and rings around his eyes from loss of sleep. His horns were curved downwards in waves unlike hers which were curving upwards. His ears were also malformed; the cartilage had lost its strength and flopped against his cheeks now. He wasn't very willing to talk at all the first few weeks but after some time he began to help her raise the grub, who was growing every day.

Hyderon never questioned why he had been hurt so badly in the past, he felt as if he deserved it and was bent on hurting others in such a way that he was, perhaps another reason he hid himself away for a while.

The two replicated their training through the brooding caves after Lupina's pupitation.

When the game of SGRUB was invented, portals began to weaken around their worlds. Sollux, who Lupina came to know, had given them a copy of the game to play with their sworn enemy, Ophilus as a joke to see who would die first. Hydrias claimed a giant scalpel as her weapon, Hyderon a sword, Lupina a shovel and Ophilus a rod.

Ophilus was around the age of the main cast and his angers and confusion resonated from the fate of his Ancestor, who was held slave to the Condesce. He bitterly fought to try and gain the affection of Hyderon, who he believed for a short time would be his matesprit.

Meanwhile, during her own session Hydrias had encountered Tavros, who she began to play with. Despite being a whole sweep older than him, it made her feel like a kid again to pretend she was Wendy Grub in their growing number of FLARP sessions. Hyderon found himself a little left out, gaining many levels in his own world, the Land of Damsels and Dragons. He also became acquainted with Kanaya.

His own feelings for the blue-blooded girl who had saved him were misted by his abuse from the highbloods earlier in his life. Out of jealousy for assisting her, Hydrias inevitably grew closer with the brown blood despite the amounts of dresses she would get from Hyderon. That was another reason he consistently helped the jade blood, to get clothing for his royal-stricken red flush. But she could not see through her resentment and through her wants to stay a child for as long as possible.

The signs were there that she was maturing, but even then she resisted it. Hyderon lived on the lowest floor of her hive, Lupina in the center and she on the top. She attempted to form a bond with Equius, but once again that was drowned in jealousy and anger.

After the destruction of their planet the four so-called Outcasts found shelter within a meteor they began to build upon with their personal interests. They failed to fully gain their own prize for defeating their King, and so retreated once more.

Over time Hyderon's hair returned, but he was still apprehensive and shaky.

Ophilus became a lot less hostile, after expelling his emotions to Lupina. Hydrias sought out to help the others with her power, only ending in seeing her childhood friend stabbed through the heart. Hyderon protected her while she mourned the loss of Tavros.

In the distance Gamzee awaited. Knowing the dangers that existed with him, Lupina took her away and attempted to retrieve the two of them in one swoop. Unfortunatly he could not get to Hyderon right away. The tangerine blood decided to face the high blood, to rid himself of the horrors of the past. Drawing his blade, he only got so far before both of his horns were knocked clear off, leaving only bony spiked nubs behind.
Something within him changed. His mind was cleared, and he felt at peace. Now with what he knew, he no longer blamed himself and became a true paladin.

It was only until he revealed this to Kanaya, whose temporary special home chained to their own meteor after the arrival of the Green Sun, that she told him to accept his feelings. Even Tavros, as much as he enjoyed Hydrias only wished her to be a friend.
Lupina, killed along the route back to their rocky home, was set upon his God Tier bed and ascended to his fullest level as the Guide of Harmony.

Hydrias finally discovered the source of her insistent frustration: the reason why she could not properly ascend levels and why she was constantly sick. She had a benign form of cancer blocking her true power.

Something sparked that hadn't been sparked in a long time between the two. They no longer needed the others, and if opportunity would arrive, they would part ways with them while still trying to live. Already one Outcast has fallen guiding them to the Sun.

One which Hydrias regrets to fullest extent, even though he had told her not to bring him back. But her power needed to be saved, for something bigger than him. He could finally rest in peace knowing his life of anger and disruptions with the three Outcasts was forgiven with his sacrifice.

Hyderon and Hydrias forgave one another for the mistakes of the past. With hope still
placed in their hearts and heads high, they travel with the others to the new session. After passionately kissing, the two realized the feelings growing inside one another they held back for many sweeps.

With three years to spare, the two grow closer with each passing moment, praying for a new place to call home.
