Heh - I'm glad that he won't be eating for a while, gives me lots of time to run very far away. He looks positively vicious, but I like the pic a lot. 
Since you are encouraging advanced critique, one thing only... you may have noticed that the sunlight coming through the trees is rather dappled, but he seems to be standing completely in shadow, with no highlights from above - other than that, not much I can say. Great work, and thanks for using my stock.

I actually had to edit it a little bit to make sense >.>; I had to make a shadow for his big ol' belly <3
