Professor Roux Labet , in the course of his research into the separating line between Man and Beast, has stumbled into rather a few unusual modifications to his body.

A second set of arms and a second head would be useful to people in many professions, but doubly so for an alchemist such as himself, so it would only make sense that he would use his fleshcrafting skills to bestow himself with such additions. At least, that's what he claims.

In truth, Roux was attempting to create a simulacrum of himself so that he would have a willing subject to safely test his more dangerous theories on. It seemed simple - through mimicing cellular mitosis he could simply sprout a double of himself - but his first attempt didn't go so smoothly and the split was only partial.

The nature of this event has left Roux with a second head and pair of arms that seem to be his most of the time, but occasionally act out or speak out of line in ways that he finds quite embarassing and frustrating when dealing with others. While he has been attempting to shine some light on the exact nature of his unique mutation, he is still unsure if this other voice is the simulacra's own mind, or merely his subconscious blurting out the rather beastly things he would rather keep to himself.

Of course, being a gnoll draws enough attention in civilized places without having two heads, so Roux has commissioned a jacket that hides his extra attributes whenever he wears it, allowing him to blend in... as much as a gnoll can in an academic institution.
