THe second sheet of sketches got... weird. I started trying out things with rocky growths that implied their skin was as tough as stone, or that they're almost made of stone sorta?I started to lean toward bottomheavy shorter legged designs so that they're stockier and closer to the ground, gives them a much more grounded and solid look, IMO.
That square guy is... Offputting. So is the robed gyroid.
