Description Made in 2018
Made w/ MS Paint 3D (using Mouse)

I put off watching the new season for a couple of weeks, but when I finally did - oh wow, that first episode (and this scene)!? Just a few seconds in, I opened up MS Paint 3D* (to keep my hands busy with something) while watching the rest of it (something about that show ALWAYS inspires me to - I mean it's got one of the most gorgeous cinematographies I've ever seen, so that's PROBABLY what it is) and then did some touch-ups while watching the remaining ones out so far. This was all a couple of days back and now, right before uploading it, I decided to add a little splatter to it (might remove it again later, because it was an impulse decision just now). I also have another one saved, where I put more effort on making the rope more realistic, but I ended up liking the unfinished look of it here a bit better, so I decided to stick with that one (for now).

* I KNOW a lot of people find my weird thing with still using MS Paint a bit off-putting, but I actually JUST came upon "3D" for the first time very recently and I've once again honestly had quite fun with those brushes and the simplicity of it (apart from simply not having any other software installed on this laptop, that I mostly use to watch movies/series/shows, play games and browse the web).

I TOTALLY GET WHY people would give me flack about it in the past, though, since (from like 2011) they've been the ONLY pictures I've uploaded on here and since I don't draw A WHOLE LOT as it is I understand it comes across as if I'm "stuck in development" BECAUSE OF what from an outside perspective must look a lot like an unwillingness to venture outside of a perceived "comfort zone" (especially if I also complain about it, which I can see now that I at times have been prone to doing). Here's the thing though: I DO use (many) other kinds of media, too. I PROMISE! But MOST of them aren't "digital" and, ever since mine stopped working, there's always such a fuss with the whole scanning process (especially when pretty much NONE of them feels TRULY WORTH the effort, you know?).

But, most of all, again: I actually *LIKE* using it, as well. It always helps a lot with snapping out of my performance anxieties - because it's "NOT SERIOUS" then and I feel FREE to play around without feeling the pressure of having to *produce something* of a certain "standard" or "value" or whatever. It's ALL for FUN. For MYSELF. And at this point in time I still need for my drawing to STAY that easy and simple outlet, and I don't see that changing any time soon, either. So, I'm sorry I guess?

I did once try to watch this series, but I just couldn't go through with it...
It was just so... eerie(?) for my taste...
Nice drawing, thought

Heh, that's one of the things I like MOST about it. It's obviously dystopian and dark as fuck (and I LOVE that it is - SO FAR from anything the average viewer's used to, and thus "comfortable with" - which makes it all the MORE culturally significant) and still those visuals are so consistently STUNNING, living in Gilead sounds ALMOST worth it (not at all, really, but you know what I mean).
