Okay;
1. Sanzaru REALLY overlooked a bunch of established things in the continuity of the first three games. So they just put Clockwerk in wherever they could to prove they didn't forget him. It wasn't even a full sized Clockwerk... or even an actual creature from the time period. Though, I guess it could be forgiven for that last bit because pterodactyls and "higher-mammals" didn't exist in the same era.
2. Penelope had LIMITED access to time travel. She was only brought back to present day because of the Cooper Gang. There wasn't enough time for her to take over medieval England AND reconfigure Clockwerk into the cyborg monstrosity he was, without screwing up her plans within the already altered time-line.
3. I take Sly 4 story with a pinch of salt because Sanzaru had no idea what they were doing. They just fanboy'd over the characters and made them OOC, and disregarded certain facts and characterization for the sake of making it "their own".

Carmelita, in terms of her style of dress. It's been established in-game AND COMICS That she doesn't feel comfortable in a dress and that she prefers pants and her leather bustier.
Bentley and Murray are pretty much watered-down versions of themselves. Bentley doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about and just say big words to sound smart; and Murray is just less fun to listen to, his line were some of the funniest I've ever heard. Now they're just stupid and kinda mean towards his character.
They also relied too much on "one-liners".
Also, the ending where Sly challenges Le Paradox, is completely unnecessary. Le Paradox would have been sucked into a black hole and been out of their lives for good. The only time Sly has to fight a boss is when there's no other way that they were gonna die. It was through this that Sly had ultimately foiled himself. He wouldn't have been near Le Paradox and, therefore, not have lost his para-glider.

Agreed. I'm also kinda biased because my FC is a skunk, and I didn't know Le Paradox was gonna be a skunk until the spoilers were leaked. I honestly thought he was gonna be a lizard of sorts with a turban (WTF is up with his cranium)...

They used, like, 2 Tigers in Sly 2, Rajan and Neyla, and they put a Cuban Tiger, which tigers aren't even a indigenous species to Cuba, who wielded LIGHTENING AND FIRE KATANAS... FUCK CANON OR ANYTHING RELATED TO REALITY.
Anyways, yeah. I was actually really hoping he'd be a gecko or something...
