Description
Another character that was born as a result of my boyfriend's MLP campaign. Yes, part of the idea came from Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog, but then Alphonse here sort of began to develop in a different direction. Originally a bit of an antagonist, he is now a good (albiet eccentric) guy.

Coming from the swamps of New Horseleans, Alphonse became an orphan at 9 when his mother passed away from illness suddenly. He never met his father. Distraught, Alphonse sat out on the porch of his shack...and saw a mysterious glowing white gator pass by. Following it deeper into the swamplands, Alphonse came across a broken down manor in the midst of the bayou, and there, met a group of Voodooists calling themselves the Abadies. The Abadies took Alphonse in and trained him in the art of Voodoo and Shadowtalking, and now Al travels Equestria, helping to put lost souls to rest.

Personality: The always grinning skeleton man from the swamplands. Alphonse is charming but off-putting with both his appearance and devotion to the dead. Despite his creepy nature and tendency to get under people's skin (without meaning to usually), Alphonse is a very kind individual. If he senses someone has lost someone recently, he will comfort them. He loves kids dearly as well and sometimes plays games with the younger Abadie members. Often called Uncle Al by the kids.

The Abadies: A group of Voodooists out in the swamplands outside of New Horseleans. Guarded by alligators, only Abadies are allowed through, with the exception of guests. Has been around for thousands of years, started by the great Zander Abadie himself. The current leader is Alphonse's adopted mother, Madam Mysterie, most commonly called Mama Abadie.
Abadie means Family Chapel in French, btw. I thought it was appropriate for this reclusive but tight-knit family.
