Something quick I just made for a friend that I thought I'd post just because. :'DĀOf course, each artist has their different methods, but this was showing how I typically make my pones.
ignore that I pretty much used Scootaloo's colors for the colored version by accident. :'D

Instead of stages 1-4 I do a very loose sketch of the character's basic shapes for the whole body, trying to get the proportions and pose right.

Body is easy enough... relatively... for me, but once I get to eyes and mouth and other features like that, everything goes to crap.
