1 Amanda Waller: “How the hell did we not know this?”
1 Rick Flag: “I double checked some of the files. Jack Napier is in the databases. This isn’t misinformation.”
2 Amanda Waller: “Who would have missed this? Someone had to check the records when he first started plaguing Gotham. Certainly by the time he blew up that first hospital or derailed the train. How was he not identified?”
2 Rick Flag: “I have no idea. Maybe some intern ran the search, and just missed him.”
3 Amanda Waller: “Then that person needs to be fired. And arrested. And surely there were multiple attempts to scour the files!”
3 Rick Flag: “What they’re saying on the news… all of his skills… are ones we gave him.”
4 Amanda Waller: “Could this information fake? Planted in our databases?”
4 Rick Flag: “Unlikely. You’d need a god-tier hacker for that. Mason couldn’t do a tenth of this. And we’ve got access to a lot more damning material in our files than has been released on the news. A lot more. Why wouldn’t that have been included in the release?”
5 Amanda Waller: “What does it amount to?”
5 Rick Flag: “Lots of stuff, some pretty damaging. There’s even a scan of a handwritten psych evaluation of him, from when he was first recruited by the CIA. It’s unsigned, unfortunately, but it says that while on paper he looks like a good candidate because of the empty spot where his soul belongs, he’s too conniving, sadistic, and devious to trust.”
6 Amanda Waller: “Jesus Christ.”
6 Rick Flag: “At least we’ve got a name and motive for him, now. Maybe there’s a silver lining.”
