1 Spoiler: “It looks like the story is almost universally believed.”
1 Batman: “Yeah. Even the Justice League’s government contacts seem to accept it.”
2 Batman: “We’re no closer to getting him, but we’ve dealt him a blow, at last.”
2 Spoiler: “Uh, Batman… we’ve got a message. From the Riddler.”
3 Batman: “Another brainteaser?”
3 Spoiler: “No. Completely un-encoded. It’s a message… dictated by the Joker. I think… does this mean the Riddler has been compromised?”
4 Batman: “I don’t know. What does it say?”
4 Spoiler: “It reads, ‘Congratulations, Batman. Well played. I wouldn’t have thought you equal to such deceit’.”
5 Joker: “You’ve given small minds a myth to believe in. And it will bring them so much comfort to be able to put a ‘real’ name to me. To pretend that’s who I ‘am’, and that I can be understood. But you know it’s a lie. You’ve only given them false hope. Hope that will inevitably be betrayed.”
6 Joker: “‘They will never again be the Prime Movers of the world. You know, in your heart of hearts, I’m right. That I have always been right. And I’ll die on this hill’.”
