i've been trying to do this type of shot, but it's not really working out for me and my canon powershot. I have the A710 IS model... *sigh*
but it worked out awesome for you!!

well, A LOT of light, lol. i did this one in the bathroom in front of the huge vanity mirror lights. and having a camera with decent macro capabilities.
