Description

This is a digital rendering I did in my free time of what I think an MCU version of U.S.Agent should look like. I wanted to push that "black ops Captain America" button really hard, so I started by taking one of the concept art pieces from Captain America: Winter Solider and painting over the top of it. Besides the Uzi, I gave his silhouette a little more bulk in the shoulders and helmet, as well as a backpack with a pull strap on the top. I wanted something more tactical then Cap, but with all the classic lines still.

I love drawing the MCU panel style costumes. The first few passes aren't anything too special, but I love going in and adding all the detail in the later stages of drawing it up. Even after I was done painting on this guy I was still adding seam lines and armor detail. I really enjoy that part of the work. If you look closely, there are 5 different fabric textures on this costume (not including hard armor parts).

As for where I think U.S.Agent might fit in with the MCU? I think he'd be a great fit on a show like Agents of Shield or the upcoming spin off Marvel's Most Wanted. I'm not sure he'd be a good fit for the films (I could be wrong), and it seems to me that the Netflix series are pretty comfortable sticking to NYC for a setting.

As always let me know what you think either in the comments below or on social media. Don't forget to follow Troy McKie - Freelance Designer on Facebook. And as always, thanks for looking!

I always liked U.S agent, to me he represented America's relentless want of revenge against those that did us wrong, and our absolute vehemence when it comes to completing what we start.
