I have a question to people who have played Darksiders. Why keep only 2 of the original horsemen (War+Ruin, Death+Despair) and not throw in the other 2 also? Why switch them out for Fury and Strife? It's not like the bible is going to throw a copyright claim on you.

Only Death is actually named... the other three are commonly listed as Famine, Conquest, and War... but only the horses' colours are listed in the Bible... White, Black, and Red... White is sometimes attributed to Pestilence instead of Conquest... as for Darksiders... they decided that Fury and Strife would fit better into an Action game than Conquest/Pestilence and Famine...

I love this piece since war is my 2nd favourite horsemen EVAH
But I also have some constructive critic
(This is in no way saying the piece is bad, I love it,
its just a few thing nagging me at the back of my mind)
Β Β Pros:
1. The fire effects in this are AWESOME, you really have
Β Β captured the essence of fire both on the horse and off. IΒ
Β Β especially the different tones and colours in the fire that
Β Β show how multi layered fire is and hoe it looks from different
Β Β perspectivesΒ
2. The way you have used both mass detail and lax detail
Β Β really emphasise the it's strong points and shows how a
Β Β person from this perspective would see this. It reminds me
Β Β of using focus in photos and how we see things in the real world
Β Β Cons:
1. The horn is on the wrong side from the war portrait (minor one 
2. I dislike how war is sat on his horse. This is my opinion but if
Β Β feels like there is something wrong with how he is sitting in
Β Β comparison the the horses position
These are defiantly not all the pros in the picture, it is really good
and has many strong points and these are only the points that
immediately occurred to me straight away. The cons also may
be fairly unfair, this because the four horseman are one of my
favourite sets of mythology and folk law so I become really picky
when it comes to them
Another thing I found in this picture that is not quite a con or a pro
its that the picture, in my opinion, is more centred and focused on
ruin the fiery horse, this doesn't discredit the picture and I think it
looks good but it is quite different that in all your previous pictures
the horseman has been the main focus but now, partially due to
the cool fiery effects and partially due to how striking ruin is compared
to war, ruin seems to be the focus. Just speculating 'tis all
Anyway love the work and am looking forward to the Ghoostly lady herself
(The picture anyway, as it is currently I am quite fond of life and don't want to meet her just yet)

yea it was pretty challenging to get the focus on the rider since theres fire everywhere.Β
but yea i've gotta get to studying how horses and riders interact with each other for future horse based projects
