done from taking a break from commissions. these are actually quite fun to do and awesome practice
hopefully i can get better if i keep doing a few more of these, i still feel like im not quite there yet.
anyway, i hope you like it

Are they painted from imagination or from photo references? If so, where do you usually find them? (I have problems with finding fitting photo refs...)

Like eyes, mouth are holes in peoples bodies so if you make that hole as black as ones where eyelids go over eyeballs you might achieve the effect. Also in this context, lines are areas where surface bends beyond our view.so on mouth and eyes those lines are parts where surface from outside touches the surface inside.
