It's just supposed to be a bit of an idea. The creator was playing with emoticons that don't show the full body of the character. It's breaking the 4th wall in a sense too...It's hard to explain though.

I'm not a brony, it's not that hard to get. I'm assuming they're "Plzs" of the ponies that mostly only show the head.
