Description
You stared at the boy who stood in front of your class. The teacher had introduced him as Karkat Vantas. You couldn't help it, he just seemed so out of place.
He had messy black hair, fairly pale skin (like he didn't get out much), a black long-sleeve shirt with the symbol for Cancer on it in light gray, was scowling deeply at the ground, and muttering to himself all the while.
The teacher looked around for an open seat. The only one open was the one next to you and you knew it too.
"Ah, Mr. Vantas you can have the seat over by (name). (Name), would you please raise your hand?"
You raised your hand as the teacher had asked and the boy sat down next to you. You were a painfully shy person, so most people left you alone. Therefore you had no friends.
You looked over at him and found him to be looking at you. You blushed and quickly looked forward once again. By the time class was over you gathered your stuff quickly and tried to leave. You stopped when you heard someone call your name.
"Hey, (name) was it? Can I see your fucking schedule real quick?"
Karkat had stopped in front of you. You nodded and handed him your schedule. You didn't care if anything happened to it really since you had the thing already memorized.
"Huh. Well this should be pretty fucking interesting." He seemed to mutter to himself.
You looked over to him and he handed you back your schedule. You tilted your head and gave him a puzzled look like 'What do you mean by interesting'.
"Looks like we have the same god damn schedule, smart one."
You stared at him a few moments before turning on your heel and walking away. You could hear his footsteps catch up to you fairly easily. You knew he was next to you and you glanced over to confirm your suspicions. Yep, there he was. Right next to you like there was no problem with it whatsoever.
"You don't talk a whole fucking lot do you."
It was more of a statement then a question. You looked up to glare at him but instead your eyes locked with his and you both stopped walking. You stared into his red eyes as he stared into your (e/c) ones. You looked away first after who knows how fucking long, not liking the searching look he was giving you. Dang, now his cursing was beginning to stick in your thoughts!
"Let's just get to class, please?" You murmured quietly. You wanted to sound unafraid but your voice rose up at the end making it sound more like a question.
"Sure. Whatever the fuck you say, just lead the way through this god damn building they call a school."
Karkat looked very unamused when he responded but you both stared towards your next class. Not giving any thought to the boy next to you and what would happen in your next class, History.
