Description
ISA Rapid Reaction Force troopers from Killzone.Updated the model. Previously, it was made up of entirely one mesh, except the head and headgear. Now, pieces like the arms, legs, shoulder guards, and neckguards are individual meshes.
This allows a lot of flexibility. With just a few additional meshes and map tweaks, I can get a variety of characters from a single base model like pictured above.
Also, redid, the UVs and the maps to make the RRF troopers more faithful to their Killzone Liberation appearance.
Much thanks to who pointed me to some high-res renders of the KZL models.
Made in Maya 2011. Maps in Photoshop CS5.
Killzone and Killzone Liberation belong to Guerrila Games

mmm nice. You're getting quite good in this modelling business at this rate you'll overtake me easy haha. What program did you use to do your bumps? also, how many tris and how long did it take you to model it?

I appreciate it, man. A lot of the credit, in fact, goes to you and others. You guys were very helpful and I learned a lot from your own works. ^^
The bumps were manually created in Photoshop CS5. As of now, the NCO is around 3572 tris and the trooper is at 3684 tris. I started this model just a month ago but it has steadily evolved as I discovered new ways to model and texture (see previous submissions).

lol, much of what you have is organic though, and most of mine are well... guns. xD Hahahaha No wonder the bumps look a bit on the strange side, thought it was kinda... plastic-y for some reason. Have you tried using Crazy Bump? or Z-Brush or Sculptris?
I recommend Sculptris, really easy to use program which SHOULD allow you to make high poly models really quickly.
Keep up the good work, I look forward to seeing them in a game xD
