Interesting that Star Trek took the Hyperspace approach to their ships...I guess it was inevitable.

Β I really love the names you've assigned. They haven't been used in fanon once (to my knowledge. I'm surprised that Tereshkova has never been used!).

Β Well, except for one: Hyperion. That name is currently used by an Insignia class (NCC-99702). I like this Hyperion. In order for the Maria Boccioni Hyperion to exist in my view, she will have to have been destroyed or lost, and be replaced by the aformentioned Insignia class.

Β And for a 2390 design, she sure has an early registry. I'd say either push the registries into the 9**** range (NX/NCC-91780 for the Maria Boccioni, and so on), or have the Maria Boccioni be around for much longer (approximately since 2381. Actually, wasn't the Avante class Polaris destroyed in 2380 during the Borg Supercube event? That would line up perfectly for a new Polaris in 2381 or 2382).

Well, I really lost track of the NCC numbers. After the Prometheus, I think the original creators have, too

And the Avante Polaris was a time-hopper, so its registry lines up with the older ones.

This is one beautiful ship design. It almost reminds me of the Chariot class except without that unwanted downward fin in the drive section.

The Chariot class inspired some bits and pieces.

I'd love to write about her sister ship, the Hyperion, if allowed.

I just may do so. What time period is it? Can you share any information of what the First Fleet is like in the 24th century, please?

Well now... The Maria Boccioni class was launched in 2390. The First Fleet in this time period is enjoying the benefits arranged between it and Starfleet a century ago. It is independent, but closely allied with Starfleet. However, Starfleet's unjust Tzenkethi War before TNG as a major break between the two.
Side note: in the Polarisvwerse, the Federation was the agressor in the Tzenkethi War. Fearing the Tzenkethi might aid the Cardassians in the Fed-Cardie War, Starfleet basically overran Kzinti space. The UEFF was dispatrched to aid the Tzenkethi, but their efforts failed with the loss of Captain Noah's Polaris (Actually time-displaced and arrived at the Battle of Wolf 359).
The UEFF is commanded byBranch Admiral Hideki Yukikaze by the time the M.B. class Polaris was launched. He is one of the few who actually dared to order all ships to sacrificte hemselves if need be during the Borg Invasion. This earned him a legendary status and reinforced his nickname, "The Shogun".
The UEFF has suffered major damages in tne Borg Invasion and is slowly rebuilding. With the Federation emphasizing combat capabilities once again, the UFF is allowed to design and build ships that matches Starfleet in offensive capabilities. Some ships are even more powerful, of course, this is a closely guarded secret. The tests of the reality-warping "probability torpedoes" are quite promising.

As for differences between the main timeline / expanded universe:
- The Enterprise-D never crashed on Veridian. Riker wasn't a complete asshat and rammed that BoP. The Ent-D was slowly refitted and after this timeline's Battle of the Bassen Rift, it was rebuilt into a Galaxy-X class, as seen in All Good Things. So there is no Enterprise-E, at least not in the forseeable future. There is a Sovereign class, though.
- DS9 was never blown up. The old Nor class station is still there and is a major hub as it was.
- Bajor is less Mad Max-y as it used to be (I always imagined that planet to be a hellhole and what we've seen in the DS9 series was just the urban settlements, a bit better organized than what's beyond the pale).
- There is a Typhon Pact but without the Tzenkethi. Heimann took her Polaris to Tzenketh and spoke to the Emperor (she has a right to do so, she's a de jure Tzenkethi citizen due to being born on the planet). As the successor of Metlesits, both in rank and by ship, she convinced the Tzenkethi Emperor to side with, if not the Federation, but with Earth, once again.
