We have a bogey FL700.
I don't know; it just appeared as in one sweep it wasn't there and the next it was.

Well, for many, including myself, she is the Enterprise.

Yup. Though, I admit to a fondness for the NX-01, especially that refit with the secondary hull, that never was.

Your artwork is AMAZING! Β I use them as a slideshow wallpaper for the desktop. Β What amazes me is your time and effort. Β The accurate attention to detail, the ridiculously high resolution, actual NASA photography, with a touch of film grain / noise filtering = beautiful work! Β Seriously, you are VERY talented and deserve a job in advertising or graphic design. Β Keep em coming!

And to answear Scatter's question. In theory, any ship in Star Trek could go into the Atmosphere. However, most Starfleet vessels are not made to do such a thing. They can maybe scrape the Thermosphere (outermost atmosphere layer) but unless they are sure they can escape the planets gravity, it's a seldom occurance. Klingon and Romulan designs are made for both planetary and space flight.

All Star Trek ships can go into atmosphere... once!

Ya know...i just wondered.....What is the limit that ships are allowed to enter the atmosphere.....I mean i know the ships can fly in the air just as well as in space......but are they allowed to do that....especially over populated planets?Β

thefirstfleet In reply to Scattergunsniper [2015-03-18 16:06:22 +0000 UTC]
There is probably a safe limit, hence the term "Standard Orbit".

I always though standard orbit meant " Lets stay here till some weird stuff happens that we have to fix/save/blow up"
"That seems illogical, Captain"
"My ship, My Rules"
"Now that seems unfair, Capt'n"
"STFU Scotty"
