You did the same mistake that I did, putting windows at the front of the sec hull, or is it my old mesh in fact with updated textures?

thefirstfleet In reply to brstarship [2015-06-19 14:50:58 +0000 UTC]

No, it's actually my own model. But the real deal also had touse windows:

MasterAccount [2014-01-06 06:18:09 +0000 UTC]

In my version of events, the ship is commanded by Captain Pavel Chekov, not Cameron Frye. Captain Aya Nakajima from Star Trekker manga by Atelier Lana, was at the maiden voyage ceremony, and went to sickbayΒ during the rescue of theΒ El-AurianΒ refugees,Β and sedated Dr. Soran, preventing him from going back to the Nexus.

In the Polarisverse, things happen almost the same, except the while dumb plot of the E-D getting destroyed and Kirk killed never happens.

Hey, you donΒ΄t build crappy models. Only good ones.
I would like to see how you made it, especially the sec hull. My approach was very bad and messy... Is your mesh available for download?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

thefirstfleet In reply to brstarship [2013-11-26 21:56:41 +0000 UTC]

I haven't released yet. I have to think over, I might need to re-build the sec hull bulge. The one I currently have was built of a massively abused sphere primitive

Zucca-Xerfantes [2013-09-26 18:31:29 +0000 UTC]

Ha! Tuesday Machine. I like it!

Also it inherited its namesake's uncanny ability to violently repel all other starships away from it... >_>

They were just cruising around the Sol System, the thrumming HEART of the United Federation of Planets...

And they're the only...

... starship...

... in range...?!?!

Utopia Planetia? Mars?! Titan?! EARTH?!

The Federation's cupboard was BARE, save for one, understaffed, underequipped Excelsior Class?!

...

And this is why I hate Generations almost as much as Nemesis...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

MadCat221 In reply to Zucca-Xerfantes [2013-10-21 02:49:45 +0000 UTC]

I don't hate the Enterprise-B for being, again, the only ship in range (in an especially egregious case as you stated)...

...I hate five of the Magnificent Seven exhibiting levels of incompetence they should have been incapable of.

Worf would have had the sense to run a mental checklist of "Ways to penetrate shields" going in his head, and "matching shield frequencies" would have been near the top.Β  One dig into the computer archives for that rapid-randomizing program they wrote for countering the Borg, and the Duras Sisters wouldn't have stood a chance.

Riker should have ordered Worf to fire at will, allowing Worf to WHALE on that old piece of crap the Duras Sisters salvaged.Β  Instead... just one piddly phaser strike before Data's technobabble solution.

Geordi should have remembered that there are emergency systems on board specifically designed to dump a critically unstable warp core overboard if it cannot be retained safely.

And, of course, Troi's infamous perpetuation of the Woman Driver stereotype.Β  Let's point the saucer towards the planet and also not gun the impulse engines full power to at least skip off the atmosphere!

But who's #5?Β  Picard.Β  You're dealing with a madman who has already demonstrated he has the will and the madness to commit an atrocity, and you're deferring to not only his living rights but a deal with two members of a known dishonorable and dishonored klingon noble house?Β  As soon as Geordi's back and the coordinates are received, he should have said "Fool you!", orbitally bombarded Soran's launch site, and then at least chased off the Duras Sisters.Β  Instead, he beams down UNARMED to try and reason with a madman.Β  Reason and logic don't work on crazy people, Jean-luc!

Only Data and Beverly were spared the idiot ball.Β  And Data even had the added complexity of dealing with emotions he's never really experienced before and can't shut off.
