Description
Instead of using a Quantum field focus controller to stabilize the ship during slipstream, the Maria Boccioni class uses a Superstring bridge. Creating a semi-stable point existing outside normal spacetime between the ship and a pre-designated object (mostly a hydrogen atom) in space, the superstring bridge guides the vessel through the quirks of slipstream.Model by me

I wonder, with something like that, would it be possible to use said superstring as an alternative to the tractor beam, like for forceful attacks? Ex: Grabbing a meteor by an atom and with an high energy turn hurl it at a klingon ship full force?

No, because this superstring bridge has no effect in normal space.

That is a really cool idea. I could definitely see 25th century Starfleet using this.

Nice angle and composition. That's an interesting idea; certainly different. In any event, it looks great!

Is this a new term you've coined?Β Trying to figure out how this Superstring bridge works.

Superstring theory is a real scientific theory. It's basically about "everything is interconnected with everything".

I guess I didn't doubt the existance of the theory, I was simply trying to understand if it was a theoretical bridge or an actual command bridge - that's probably where I got confused.
As for the actual physics behind the theory - frankly, it's beyond me.Β I'd try to understand it from a writing perspective, but I don't think I'll be writing any Star Trek fanfiction anytime soon.
(I did in the past, but I was always more interested in the exploration part where I find a planet of mermaid-like creatures rather than the science behind the ships.)

Very cool idea for propulsion! Really nice to see an artist saying something other than their ship can go "Warp 9.99993" or something along those lines.
