True, which is why I said circa 2245, to avoid any such arguments.

If you go by Axanar (which is fan-made so not canon, so take it how you will), the D-7 actually came first, with the Constitution coming afterwards.

Within months of each other yes. Both did come out in 2245, and both sides upgraded their ships many times. In fact the D-7 that is Qo'nos One is a pre-K'T'inga D7, prior to when the whole class was completely rebuilt.
