I've run into a fair number of people who think it's overly long and contributes to the "boring" nature of TMP
it's not really surprising to me that Abrams would think as such :/

I love that scene from The Motion Picture. Honestly, that motion for me is very beautiful, and the Enterprise after the refit, a great beauty. Nice render.
