It sorta looks as if this was at least, a tiny bit based off of the wormhole scene in Star trek TMP, anyway It's the coolest time travel plot ever!

A trip through time is possible...if you're the captain of a Federation starship.

In the height of the Romulan War. Chell wanted to ensure the Romulans win by enabling them to invade Earth. Boccioni stopped Chell and Lius Randolph of the original Polaris led a successful counter-attack against the Romulans, as he was supposed to do.

Please ignore the little blue box floating alongside your ship.

Thank you.

I see no blue box. Is it a render error?

I think meant the Tardis, from Dr Who (which isn't in the pic obviously)

Yeah, the time machine that looked like an old British police call box from the 1960's.

Funny thing, we have a similar-looking portable toilet here in Hungary (probably an international brand, but still...)

TheLastCybertronian In reply to thefirstfleet [2011-08-08 15:48:19 +0000 UTC]

It wasn't a toilet. Back in the 60's, the public could use the phone built into the front to call for a policeman, and it was big enough for a policeman to use as a cell for anyone they had arrested.

Yeah, I know it wasn't a toilet

Hungary had similar things up till the the 50's. We called them "fakabΓ‘tok" (sg. fakabΓ‘t), meaning "wooden jackets". They were situated in front of official buildings and factories. They were mostly gone by the 60's on common streets and replaced by concrete machine gun turrets at factories (just in case those bloody imperialists want to steal our nice, socialist tools ).

Interestingly, the word "fakabΓ‘t" remained as a slang term for policemen and is used up till today. The actual wooden structures saw a small-scale return in the last few years, usually as decorations with policemen or soldiers in dress uniform standing guard.

Time: It's the new Playdough! By it today!

Just don't try to eat it, you may inadvertently end up erasing a period in history.

Um, I know there is a non-toxic version, but overall it is probably a bad idea to eat it.

A pre-destination paradox?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

thefirstfleet In reply to captshade [2011-08-04 20:23:11 +0000 UTC]

Probably not. Although Boccioni did meet Randolph, that is the two Polarii met, she never told him about the result of the Romulan War or the Federation. She told him, however, that Humankind will face a foe in the near future that'll overshadow the Romulans a thousandfold. Although she did not name them, she referred to, of course, the Kzinti.

Captain Boccioni made sure Chell is defeated. She returned to her time to find that the timeline did not change.
