The Captain's chair of my little light cruiser. Designed by me and built by my dad and me.It will be my TV chair

How did you build that? How much did it cost?

I designed it using blueprints from the original, screen-used chair. I had the board cut to shape at our local carpentry shop. I did the assembly, painting, etc. by hand.
The seat itself is a real barroom chair, as I can't do upholstery myself.
It cost about 100 USD.

I've often considered buying an old barber's chair and winging it, but this is a nice piece of work.
Won't find this at Ikea, that's for sure.

Is it comfortable? Β It's cool and looks great for taking on Romulans, but not sure if it beats a couch. Β But regardless, very nicely done.

Now all you've gotta do is set it up so the buttons on the console operate the TV.

I think I know a way to do it, Use a trackball mouse, all you need to do is replace one of those clear domes on the chair with the trackball components and the buttons beside that with the mouse buttons, The ball would be used to surf the channels while the buttons on the side would be used for confirmation, Exiting the Channel guide and going to the last channel that you were watching.
