So in the timeline where the C disappeared from the Battle of Narendra III is it still the Klingons the Feds are at war with or the Romulan Empire while officially 'teamed up' with the uncooperative Klingons?

No, this is before those events. Garrett is still a rookie here.

Its beautiful,nostalgic too.
Too bad the Ambassador weren't seen fighting the Dominion ships.I can be wrong about that,of course.
Maybe there wouldn't be so much losses as with the Exelsior and other ships involved. Who knows...
And the Centaur ships, who wouldn't like them?
Good too see a Centaur in Action.

thefirstfleet In reply to BellOrso [2012-09-12 14:25:39 +0000 UTC]

Yupp. The Centaur is small, some 210 metres long.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BellOrso In reply to thefirstfleet [2012-09-13 01:29:42 +0000 UTC]

I find that hard to believe. The Centaur was built around a standard Excelsior saucer and there is just no way that that is THIS tiny when compared to an Ambassador saucer.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

thefirstfleet In reply to BellOrso [2012-09-13 15:22:59 +0000 UTC]

Nope, the original builders wanted the ship to be small. The saucer style is merely similar to the Excelsior, (and a lot smaller) mimicking the design guidelines of the respective era. But it's a tiny ship.

Captain Garrett was prepared, the Enterprise was awaiting the arrival of the Sieglinde. Some (in)famous guests are eagerly watching the viewscreen on the bridge...

it's nice to know those log buoys are actually sought after a ship disappears lol. Now the question is the Sieglinde ready to meet the 1st "Grey Ghost" of the 24th century? ("Grey Ghost" is one of a few nicknames given the Enterprise CV-6 during WWII, in case you didn't know lol. Since the Star Trek Enterprise lineage is directed from her it fits )

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

thefirstfleet In reply to wingzero-01-custom [2012-09-12 14:35:11 +0000 UTC]

I know the Grey Ghost sotry. Came from the notion that the japanese hav thrice declared that they have sunk her, but the reports of her early demise were always false (although I love Axis land and air stuff, I'm pro-Allies when it comes to those beautiful American warships of the era )

Twenty-seven years have passed, and not too mch have changed. The Lost Era is kind of moot, except for the Cardassian War, which is yet to come. First Contact will take place exactly in this year, when the Sieglinde returns.

And no, no, no, NX-01 never existed in the Polarisverse (and Cochrane wasn't a boozer and his ship was named Bonaventure, and so on )

wingzero-01-custom In reply to thefirstfleet [2012-09-12 16:18:31 +0000 UTC]

I'm hardcore in maritime and Naval history so I tend to know things most don't care to know. So I tend to explain things cause I don't know of others may know of it. Especially on the Internet where so many from other nationalities may not care about American Naval history. lol Though the Enterprise Lineage is of vital importance in understanding why Gene Roddenberry Chose the namesake as his hero ship. Especially in the 60's when the WWII was still fresh in the minds of world. Not to mention the CV(N)-6's recent scrapping during that time.

In my mind there is only one event that really truly matters in the Lost Era. That event is the Battle of Narendhra III and the loss of the Enterprise-C. Otherwise it's just a peaceful 60 year gap in the story to me. Cardassian war or not. I'm not even going to touch the Enterprise Era not enough room for the long list of problems with what should have been a Star Trek Renascence.

thefirstfleet In reply to wingzero-01-custom [2012-09-12 16:40:29 +0000 UTC]

I'm interested in both the Cardassian War and the Tzenkethi War. Don't forget, the Tzenkethi are a most important race in the Polarisverse, and the two wars were fuelled by eachother.

eh it's your universe so you get to make the big decisions about what's important and what isn't that's the beauty of creating your own universe. Hence how the Enterprise-D survived it's ironically predicted destruction in the Veridian system. (I still geek out about that from time to time. lol)
