Bit boring sundown compared to the sunrise, but it still looks cool, especially with that angle.

I guess it's an even tradeoff, a somewhat nice sunset for a great sunrise the next day
You like the angle? Actually, I didn't My normal sunset spot was too far of a walk away, and I couldn't be late again or I'd be in a LOT of troubel.

Yeah, that's a pretty good tradeoff, all right.
Heh, meant that it looked like you were looking up at the sunset thought the bushes. Looking again today, yeah, doesn't quite look like that, but it did last night, I swear!

Yup!
This summer I'll have to get some nice ones of the house up on Clear Lake, there are some INCREDIBLE sunrises up there!

I'll be sure to get some pictures then!
Also, come spring I'll have a chance to get some pics of our local osprey family, they stay pretty still and are mellow enough that I can get within ten feet or so of their tree, so I might get some good ones of them soon-but not now, they're somewhere in Mexico now. Luckies!

Wow, lucky. We didn't get osprey at the lake when we lived there. And they sound really tame. Nice!

They've made a MAJOR comeback in this area, so it's really common to see them in this area. Like I said, we have a whole family living by the river, occasionally they fly over my house. You're always hearing them during the summertime, they're really noisy birds. The osprey at the lake doesn't seem to like us so much, though, but I have seen him make some spectacular catches through a pair of binoculars.
Speaking of osprey, I just finished a great book on them and now I'm a bit obsessed. I'm just waiting for the day they come back, we get spring really early here and so we get birds early. We already have hummingbirds and blossoms on the trees, so why not osprey?
...Wow, that book really has gotten me obsessed

Oooh, wow, you're so lucky. I miss the lake birds a lot. We had red-winged and yellow-headed blackbirds, grebes, terns, mallards, geese, bitterns, several other kinds of duck, coots, loons, crows, bald eagles... and probably a few I'm forgetting. Bet you could even to a case study on your family. That would be great for extra school credit!

Those are about the same types of birds we had there, except we also had vultures. Lots of vultures, which would always perch on our neighbor's dock when they were away to sun their wings. Very cool birds, not a lot of people like them, but I do because I'm weird
Ooh, I bet my science teacher would love that, he's a real adventurous sort of guy and loves it when his students do things like that! Hmmm...

Vultures too? Nice! We're too cold for them up here. Ravens, crows, and eagles are the only scavengers we've got. I think all carrion birds just have a bad rep from movies and stuff. They're pretty cool, I agree. But then, I'm weird too...
Well, good luck then!
