Kids who hate their parents for silly reasons are just idiotic.What do I mean by silly? I mean this:
"BAWWWWWWWW, MOM DIDN'T BUY ME THE NEW IPHONE, I HATE HER SOOOO MUCH"
"DADDY GOT ANGRY AT ME CUZ I GOT A BAD GRADE, HE'S AN ASSHOLE, I HATE HIM"
"MY PARENTS DIDN'T GIVE ME THE MONEY TO BUY A NEW GADGET, I'M GONNA RUN AWAY FROM HOME"
Hating parents for such stupid things is really pointless.
You know that there are people out there who have REAL reasons to hate their parents. Like those who have been abused (verbally or/and physically) by their parents, or like, in extreme and horrible cases, those that have been even raped by their father, or those who have suffered because of other forms of violence.
I do not believe in "loving your parents, no matter what", and if some persons made you suffer a lot, I don't think they deserve your love, even if those persons are your parents. I'm lucky my parents are not like that, and I can understand people who dislike their parents for SERIOUS reasons.
But hating parents for silly, idiotic reasons, like most teens I know do, is simply moronic, and completely pointless to me. Instead, they should consider themselves lucky for not having abusive parents.

This is so very true. I sadly thought this of my own grandmother in the past because I hated them for no reasons whatsoever, but I now know they act strict because they care about me. They love me, and kids should know that their parents care for them. Yes, kids do get bad grades and their parents get angry. That doesn't mean the kids should hate their parents. Same for not getting a new electronic device.Β

I feel ashamed to admit I was like this when I was younger. Mom says I wasn't too bad, but the guilt is still there regardless. Look, to those people who whine about not getting the newest iPhone or whatever, just chill out, alright? Your parents have worked tiresomely and likely thanklessly to provide for you your entire life. Just be grateful to have parents who love you so much, because a lot of people out there don't.

I think a better reason to hate your parents (or at least be rightfully angry with them) would be if, say...
they treat you with complete disregard and contempt, verbally abuse and demean you every chance they get for no other reason than they love the power trip, show no empathy towards you when your depressed and instead berate and demean you further, completely disregard your feelings and opinions by undermining everything you say, try to control you and your money, obstruct your attempts to move out while berating you as a parasite, all while trying to excuse their behavior by asserting authoritarian ideas of having power over you because of he's a megalomaniac asshole.
As you can probably tell, me and my dad have a great relationship.

I have several friends at school who openly disrespect and ignore their parents, they are good parents too! It irritatesΒ me so fucking much that I want to punch them everytime they say that they hate their parents (they say that a lot BTW). Their reasons for hating their parents are so stupid! They say that they hate their parents because they 'only let them on the computer for 4 hours on a weekday.' That's good! That means that their parents are trying to separate their child from the internet and that's fine by me.

honestly I can't say I hate my parents but I can be mad at them like for instance my dad once got mad at me for selling my art at school. because I should give it out for free apparently even though the person who bought it was fine with the price (sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to get sympathy. well, no, it's important to give your children encouragement, even for dumb things. not if they're misbehaving, but say they draw something crappy and show you, in order to get better you have to encourage them and support them. if my mom never did that I never would have kept trying.

I am not very near my parents can not say that I hate but love I'm far away. Maybe just because I never got to really be loved by them or to be taken seriously the feeling. Only my father has improved somewhat since he admitted himself that he has made fault and yet very proud of me is. Honestly, since glad if their parents have viewed interesieren for you or regulate certain limits set un (healthy in moderation of course). Because they do not because they hate you but because they love you and want to protect you from harm.

I have a pretty good reason to hate my birth mother. She pretty much abandoned me and practically forced my grandparents to take care of me while mom went out and partied. For three years this went on, until finally my grandparents had enough, and they adopted me.
