Figures my first deviation would be of this character, Sailor Moon. Why does she fascinate me so? Anyway, this is a preliminary render. I'm new to 3d. I hope soon I'm skilled enough to do backgrounds and stuff.Well, it's Usagi doin a one handed hand stand. The pose is by me. The scene didn't look good with her skirt on, so I took it off.

I am going to critique myself...
thegodtree, you have to figure out how to make the hair not look like plastic. Also, the hair is kind of all over the place. If you can make the hair look more normal, and create a better graviy effect, this wouldn't be half bad..... and also, learn how to use backgrounds!

The problem is that hair isn't meant to look anything buy plastic
You can get by with getting a nice cel-shaded look on it though, or you *could* try to texture it, but it'll probably still look like plastic

Yeah, I wonder why. Aiko's hair doesn't look like plastic. I am jealous of Aiko.

Because the people who are AD fanatics tend to like celshading techniques, which require plastic looking hair... Whereas Aiko caters to a wider audience of people that don't know what "anime" is (no offense 
Ummm, yeah, you don't really need fancy textures and transmaps to do 2 or 3-tone shading.

I don't mind that plastic look at all, but then I haven't seen much of an alternative look yet.
If you're gonna add a few more of these, then it will be I who will have to watch you!
