Description I have always loved fractals, so back in 1999, I took some of my favourite fractals, slapped them together, and warped them into this ball of weirdness. Some might say, "WHY!?! Oh God why did you create this grotesque monster?". I'm not sure. It's just what I felt compelled to do. Yep, that's my idea of art. That's the best I can do, ok? Don't judge me! ^_^

In all honesty though, I see extraordinary beauty in fractals. Many times, the fractal art is the best way to depict what I see when I am in deep meditation. In many a beautiful fractal, I see ultimate beauty, deities, God, or whatever word you choose to describe the pure essence of the universe. I suppose the reason I see such things in fractals is because at their mathematical core, fractals are often so simple, yet infinitely complex.... much like the feelings in altered states of consciousness.

However!! My deviation does not do justice to the beauty of fractals. Something more like these [link] are a thousand times more beautiful ^_^

That's very pretty, I think it would look a lot better and more of a finished piece if the background was transparent.

You're right, it would look better with a transparent BG, or at least some kind of artistic effect background.

Thanks for saying it's pretty. A lot of people really hate my taste when it comes to mixing things together. When I make something, my favorite comment is, "it looks like someone threw up on the screen".

I have somewhat.... eclectic tastes. It is nice, though.

that's cool, too bad you don't have a gallery built up and this is the only art here. put up more.

thanks mate! I always thought that there was no hope for me as a visual artist because my hands are extremely unskilled. However, recently I have become very interested in photoshop and 3d art programs. I think if I study these mediums for long enough, and assimilate the concepts of art, I would be able to render some very nice and completely original stuff, despite my dumb / shaky hands.

Unfortunately, it will probably take a long time for me to create something worth looking at. I have a few thousand pages of information to absorb and practice. In the meantime, however, I hope to submit some written work. Perhaps I will post the story of why I call myself, "thegodtree".
