A pic I did not long after finishing my Hive Tyrant. Found a use finally for the Necron Warrior that's looking up!In the pic is my Hive Tyrant , Zoey , Lil' Nasty , a Hormagaunt , Gary Goyle and a Frag Spore Mine on the Tyranid side.
The Necron side has a Warrior and a Pariah in it.
Slightly outnumbered, but that's how Tyranids work so well!!

Love the detail in your models! I'm actually painting a 'nid army (even working on the Hive Tyrant right now) and boy can I appreciate what you've done. Great models but tricky as hell to get into all the lovely detail work.

Necrons and Tyranids are two of my favourite races, so diametrically opposed, so alien, and both so cool... the Great Devourer, consumer of worlds, pouring over the landscape, through space, in the hundreds of billions, and the silent, relentless risen "dead" machines, soulless, merciless, calculating. Such good army concepts. I don't however collect anymore myself. Games Workshop cannot justify their prices in my eyes. I love the "fluff" though, the stories and texts and art that pads the world out.

People may say this hobby takes a lot out of someone's time, but when you've finished painting a model this well, it's well worth it.
How in the world do you paint these? How long do they take?

Sweet Hive Tyrant. I collect Tyranids too and know what a bugger they are to paint if you want detail; I haven't managed it yet but good to see someone who has.

The only person that I know personally that can stand up to your painting skills is my grandmother. (That's a compliment.) She dedicates her life to sewing, arranging photos, and painting. Excellent work, and both Tyranids and Necrons kick-ass.

Great job! i take ma hat off to ya. My you've just made cme get ma old 'nids out of ma cupboard and i've got old memories coming back fast and hard. i feel a bit sad cause i miss just siting down with ma friends and just having geeky fun. im a big geek at heart.
anywway i think that they're awesome and you should keep it up. i think with a bit of practice you could even make the 'eavy metal team. awesome...

Ooooh. Nice. I love using my Necrons against my friend Mike's Tyranids. NxT matches ALWAYS make for a good solid fight, and tons of fun.

Hope you dont take this the wong way but you could give the pink areas a thin coat of flesh wash ink and then drubrush it with the pink again, it will give a realy nice fleshy feel to it *caugh zoanthropes brain caugh*

yeah I know, the Pink looks god aweful now. I'm redoing the lot with flesh colours instead, looks much better
