The part 2 off 2!But seriouslly Murtagh was the only reason that I didn't walk out in the middle of the movie -.-" Even though he is my 11th favorite does not change the fact that he is a strong character and just down right awsome.

The movie was awful. The only comfort we can take is that they screwed the plotline up so horribly that they can't make a second movie.
-_- And I don't see how anyone who's read the book could make the Gedwey Ignasia a red swirl. The instant I saw that when I started watching the film I was like 'Oh great. -_- ' Not only is it far harder to hide it completely goes against anyone calling him 'Argetlam'... Not that it mattered since the huge chunk in the varden was reduced to 'Yay Varden, ONOES WAR' -_-;

I remember when I first read that last line in that chapter ("Isn't it obvious? Your father is Brom,") I actually was so shocked I didn't go to the next chapter for like 15 minutes. I was too busy recovering! xD

Great character development? I like Inheritance, but I do find a lot of the characters to be lacking in personality, especially Eragon. Muratgh is probably the best as far as character development goes.
And yes, the film was terrible. Apart from Jeremy Irons. he was an awesome Brom

when I saw the movie everyone who saw it and read the book all said hat the only character that turned out the way they imagined was Ajihad.
oh and don't forget THE WRONG VILLAN KILLED BROM! and the raz'ac die way too early. it makes we wanna resuerct durza just to kick his ass myself...

The movie made me laugh at Brom's death D: it was just so silly that he randomly would jump out like that. In the book when the Ra'zacs threw that knife, he jumped very heroicly to save Eragon : /

I need to see this movie again, just for the lolz XD It kind of botherd me that in the movie Brom didn't seem to care at all about Eragon. He was like "oh great! Now I need to babysit this kid just because he is a dragonrider"
