Description
This is a pic I made for the wonderful dc2 fansite. I had a lot of fun making it for them, and you should check them out; they've got some cool stories!

This pic was a sort of homage to the classic Perez shot of The New Teen Titans 1. I did my best to make the scene and characters from that cover look the same in position and action, while putting the other 3 characters among them. I didn't know how to draw it on 11x17 like professionals, so I did this on 8.5x11 and then cropped it to 6.75x10.25 (you have NO idea how difficult it is to draw a super powered team of 10 on an 8.5x11! haha)
Top row from left: Starfire, Raven (gray suit), Scarlet Wing (updated suit)
Middle row: Dagon, Troia (updated suit)
Bottom: Kid Flash (Wally West), Tara (in powered armor), Nightwing, Beast Boy, Cyborg (got a little carried away giving him modern armor)
If I were to pick my favorites, they have got to be Nightwing, Starfire, and Kid Flash. I'm just impressed with myself in how they came out. Well, I'm impressed by how it all came out. I think that Scarlet Wing might have gotten the short end of the stick. I woulda liked her to be in a more expressive pose. She just looks like she's about to say something like, "Hey... look... everyone look... over there. I see a thing... let me hover towards it...."
I used a mechanical pencil for the lineart, Faber-Castell pens for inks, and Photoshop cs5 for details/colors.
I finally figured out how to draw, scan, print on 11x17 paper like the professionals, so, next time, baby!
Oh, by the way, I just want to make sure everyone knows that Beast Boy is in the middle of morphing.
