A homemade Amalgam comics cover,combining DC's superteam Infinity,Inc. (from the mid-80's) with Marvel's Champions (the short-lived original roster from the mid-70's); starting at top center and moving clockwise,we have Nuclearwing (Nuklon / Angel ),Polarwind ( Northwind / Iceman ),Jadestar ( Jade / Darkstar ),Athena (Fury / Hercules ),Shadowrider (Obsidian / Ghost Rider ) and Black Scarab ( Silver Scarab / Black Widow ).

It's been quite a while since I've done one of these Amalgam-related pics; In doing entirely original ones,I prefer to create entire teams rather than a cover featuring an individual hero...and there's only so many teams that DC and Marvel have,before I start re-using some of them (which,technically,I already have; I've combined Batman with both Captain America and Spiderman ) I chose Infinity,Inc. first,then learned of the Champions,but was afraid I wouldn't be able to use them,as they began with only five members (as opposed to Infinity's six). Further research showed they did indeed have another,the heroine Darkstar,join them shortly after they first got together.
