Description
I finally got my work back from the October shows, now I'm in the process of scanning all the images. This part sucks because I have a tiny scanner and work way to large.oh well, here is the first image I've scanned
it's 20"x31", done on Stonehenge printmaking paper mounted to masonite
I used watercolors for a base coat then rendered the skin with prismacolor pencils
after that I busted out the house paint (Behr) for the sea and sky
then I moved on to the hair with marker and a bit if acrylic
I finished it up with washes of water based oil

Ringling, correct?
I'm very curious about how people like it. I'm interested in trying to attend that school. What did you think of it?

Interesting concept, stunningly rendered. The neck folds may be a little much, though.

Wow, I can hardly believe this is done with traditional media . The skin and brush strokes that make up the hair look so digital... very good job anyhow.

Heya^^
Have you ever seen "The Ship" by the milliner Philip Tracey? It's a perfect model of a ship, crafted into a hat.
This reminds me of it so much =]

this is quite an interesting piece.. i love how her eyes feel zombie like, as if she were in a state of unconscious trance.
i wonder how this looks in person - the textures must be incredible due to the mixing of media.
