Description So, since I have started riding public transportation I figured that I should read some books instead of starring into space. I began by reading Barrack Obama's book "The Audacity of Hope." It was insightful and gave me a firm idea on the man I will be voting for. Then I went on to read Chuck Klostermann's "Sex, Drugs, & Cocoa Puffs." This was an interesting philosophical pop culture surprise. So, I decided to read something for fun. I found Frank Herbert's Dune. My aunt gave it to me many years ago and I never got around to reading it. I read the whole book in about a week and I just absolutely fell in love with the mythology surrounding the book(s).

I decided to really put some work into creating a piece about Dune. I knew I had to put some serious effort in considering that the two movies made out of the original Dune book are... um... bad

So, I decided to create an alternate bookcase for the actual book.

I hope some fans of the original series really enjoy this.

A lot better than the plain cover on my paperback copy I just started. I bought it on a whim and I am in love with it. Almost done already reading it, can't wait to get the next book in the series.

Love it! If you liked Dune, than you might want to try The Faded Sun by C.J.Cherryh. She is a great Sci-fi author.

Oh man, this is great artwork for the cover. I love it.
Btw. you should read all the Dunes, even those written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

That's fantastic! Great job!

I have read DUNE, both the entire series and Prelude to DUNE (and the books following Chapterhouse).

This really portrays an aspect of dune that reminds me of Leto II, and Ghanima.

That may, however be because i have seen The two movies, and the two seasons of Movie length Episodes based on Paul Atredies and His children.

Don't ask about my supreme enthusiasm, i'm just a fanatic xD

Anyway. Great Textures, Balance and Lighting. Simple but profound in its epitomization of Dune's most powerful imagery, both of the Fremen who live on Arrakis, and the Deserts in which they live.

This is exactly what I was hoping for. I really tried to bring the novel as I saw it in my head (i didnt watch the movies but i read online they didnt do the book justice). Not only do you appreciate that vision, but you also provided a fantastic critique of the overall piece. It is greatly appreciated and as a result, I may begin to read some other books from the series. Have a wonderful day, thank you!

Wow. That is fantastic. The eye actually looks kind of like how they did the eyes in the miniseries...anyway, this is a great tribute to a great book. Awesome job.

Hey, that's very nice!
I read only the first book, and stopped halfway in the second. The first one is tops, after that....

They always say don't judge a book by its cover, but the cover should give you an idea of the book and this definitely intrigues me without a doubt.
