This is actually a pretty cool design. You should make more of these for other Modern Sonic characters. I request Cream and Tikal.

Eeeeh, there's not actually much to change in characters like those. Cream's design is simple already, and Tikal looks fine. Easier to do this kind of stuff with characters from other continuities than inter-games, at least without having concept art (I'd do a classic Silver more based on that concept art where he has golden chest fur and different boots, for an example)

Hmmm. There might be something with Shade, although both her and Emerl already have simple enough designs too. There's really not many post-SA characters I'd easily do as classic versions, since it's generally just a process of almost chibi-fying them... I did sketches of Cubot once. Eggpawns? Mephiles, probably... it'd end up being more about the painting in the end than necessarily the design itself, simulating the airbrushing of the classics.
... Or I could do Lyric :V

Fair enough, but just saying- it's both easier and more common for me to do this whole process with characters from the comics and cartoons and whatnot, since they tended to overdesign or use completely alien design logics. The game characters have always managed to keep along that, at most looking bland, but always looking simple and fitting stylistically.

Ken Penders' characters seem to do that a lot. For example Julie-Su seems to have a lot of accessories. There's also characters like Dimitri.

Out of anything, fan art would piss him off. YOU STOLE MY ORIGINAL CHARACTER! I can't believe he sperged out over Sonic Chronicles because Shade apparently ripped off his "original ideas". Not that I even like Chronicles, but I still think that's fucking ridiculous. Don't even understand how Penders got his way.

I am having trouble watching the show. I have seen a walk-through for Rise of Lyric and played Shattered Crystal.

That's probably your problem. Despite being being made for each other, they never reference each other.

Shattered Crystal seems to be in it's version while Rise of Lyric is the more canon origin for the show. I think the main problem for me is the show's pacing and length per episode.
