Description
Dorothy and Toto.For Seattle-based (but potentially off-Broadway) production of Wizard of Oz based off of the original book and 1902 musical. The director asked that I draw Dorothy as she appeared in the books, as a 9 year old girl. I upped the ante by also putting her in historically based Victorian clothes (keeping in mind the look already established by the costume designer.)
Dorothy is wearing a black funeral dress upon her arrival to Kansas, hence the dark shading.
