Description
put out a journal about Adult Swim having a new G.I.Joe cartoon out, and i got hype.... I started this on Thursday, but kinda got discouraged.... thankfully the entire story was put on tv tonight and I knocked the rest of this out=] I really think I want to ink and color this.....Edit: I DID ink and color this, check it out =]

I think he may be even a lil broader than i drew him in the new series, but I've always seen him as a caniver, so he'd be more skinny and whiny to me=] I see what you mean though.

Cobra Commander has always been a whiner so...yeah it does make sense that he looks a bit scrawny (for this incarnation). Good likeness.

That movie and your artwork based on that movie is a perfect example of how G.I. JOE should be drawn. And the fact that I have seen 2 or 3 other people on DA already complimenting the movie it is also a perfect example of how G.I. JOE could have thrived had it been drawn well over the years.

thanks for the compliment man=] I don't think they could have done it up like this had they kept doing it before. Sometimes you have to walk away from something and then come back to it to really be able to make it shine with the right perspective and they really did it with this new feature=]

Having to watch some of the corny versions of G.I. JOE in the past was painful. But to put it plainly sometimes you have to make mistakes and learn from them.

Pretty well drawn, I'd say, but he looks a bit boring, I think. He could use a gun, I think. Maybe a add a speech bubble with him screaming "Coooobraaaa Reeeetreeaat!"
I think the faceplate of his helmet is a bit too low, no? After all, the eyes are only a bit above the middle of the face.

he's leaning forward, so thats why his faceplate is so low. Wit hthe new cartoon, he's more low key, so thats part of why he's not in an energetic pose. You should check out adultswim.com and look for the [link] video, it's a really cool one to see=]

Gotta love Snake themed villains. Kobra from the DCu was based off of Cobra/Cobra Commander.
Not awfully familiar with him (barely remember the old GI Joe cartoon I watched) but he looks awesome here.
