Description
An idea I had about a crossover between The Rescuers and The Rescue Rangers. If you know them both, they are kind of similar in their premise, small rodents on missions for the greater good. But I like them both.
Rescue Rangers I remember on the Disney channel when I was just kid in the 90's and The Rescuers, which I appreciate now.
If they did had an adventure together it'd be just as epic as everything was back in the 90's from the shows, the movies and the games and most importantly it'd be fun.

In one fan-fic, the Rescue Rangers are a subdivision of the Rescuers (Disney's film was an original story, not using any of the stories by the author).. When Gadget is the sole survivor of a trap set by some foe, all the others killed by poison gas, she is reassigned to a team invesigating new trouble with NIMH. (a 3-way crossover).
In a fan-pic, the RR and the Rescuers both arrive to rescue some child, and, instead of working together, fight over who was to rescue that child. The pic took pains to match each member with a similar member of the other team (Gadget threatening Bianca, ...)

It would be awesome to see how they would react to learning that both of them do cases and rescue missions, would they have a rivalry at first and later work together?

I think there would a bit of a rivalry at first, with an old established rescue organization run by the mice compared to a younger, independant rescue group run by the chipmunks.
And ultimately later they would collaborate and go on joint rescue missions.

One fan-fic had the premise that the Rescue Rangers were a division of the Rescuers, not free-lancers. When a mission turns out to be a deadly trap, Gadget, the sole survivor, is assigned to assist the rats of NIMH. (Three-way cross-over).

Interesting fact:
Rescue Rangers came about thanks to the Rescuers. See, Disney wanted to produce a show based on the movie, however, when the animation department green-lit The Rescuers Down Under, the idea was scrapped. But the show was still made, but with Bernard and Miss Bianca being replaced with Chip and Dale, who were quickly joined by the other Rescue Rangers.

There was one funny fan-pic where the two teams DO meet -and fight each other !
In one fan-fic, the Rescue Rangers turn out to be a branch of the Rescuers and when Gadget is the SOLE survivor when a rescue mission turns out to be a trap, she is reassigned to a team working with the NIMH rats.

You know it's possible that Rescuers, Rescue Rangers, and Great Mouse Detective take place in the same universe

True, but the Disney renaissance was amazing always grateful to have lived and seen all that. but then the live-action stuff happened and became sort of cancerous and so we can only hope any films in the future can be just as entertaining as they were back then.
