Description
Rubber Bullette leaping into action! I wanted to show off more of her new alternate costume, since it seems to be very well liked so far. I ALSO wanted to draw her stretching out, it's been too long since I've drawn her elongating and bending and doin' stretchy stuff.Enjoy! Let me know what you think down below!

I think that both of her shoulders needs more definition and her right thigh has some abnormal protuberance on it, but everything else looks fine.Great work on adding volume through shading.

Nice! As others have said, the fact that you're sticking to the "elongated human" motif instead of "become noodles" motif is impressive, and really well-executed. The pose here also helps sell the visual appeal of the sleek alternate suit.
Also, is that an intentional blur effect on the hand? If so, nice touch.

The blur was unintentional, my scanner is actually not big enough for my sketchbook so I decided to just play it up with a subtle motion blur once I'd scanned it.
Glad you like the approach I'm taking to her stretching, I definitely want to emphasize in my drawings that RB is flesh and blood, muscle and sinew, skin and bones rather than a blob or solid hunk of rubber in the shape of a woman. It can be tricky, sometimes, because a lot of the time the muscles and body shapes get pulled so far out of shape that you kind of can't avoid them just turning to noodles!

I have nothing against noodles, but elongated human is much harder, and I just wanted to pay my respects to the obvious effort. The fact that her muscles stay defined while distended gives the impression that she's using them while stretching, which makes her feel more real, even though as you've alluded to before, that makes little mechanical sense when you think about it. It's somewhere between comic book logic and surrealism, but regardless I like it and appreciate your obvious effort.

I agree! Obviously a lot of people do the noodle approach, and there is nothing at all wrong with that since it's all just subjective takes on a fantasy subject. However I do agree that her using her muscles and things while she's stretching makes her feel more realistic, and for me it's a fun challenge too. It's a good exercise in understanding anatomy and body movement! Thank you for your comments, too, I appreciate your thoughts!

No problem! I've been lurking for years, and seeing your stuff inspires me to compare to what I've seen elsewhere and analyze, and in that context your attention to being precise about your approach stands out. Thanks for reading my thoughts on your art!

Love it! And her expression is awesome. I'm reading as half "I'm having fun" and half "Yeah, I'm a bad ass".

I'm glad her expression turned out well! Getting her to look like herself over and over again is tricky without factoring in different expressions. RB definitely knows she's badass, too!

Thank you! I always have fun drawing RB stretching out, it's an interesting challenge trying to draw her so that you can see the muscles and her body shape actually pulling out of shape while still being recognizable. Glad you like the effect!
