Description
This is a hand crafted, Bowie (hunting) knife with with a perl inset wooden hilt, a patterned spline depression and British lion pattern on the pommel. Both the handle and blade were hand-crafted by a friend of my family, but I think the most noteworthy aspect is the actual blade. It is made from Sheffield stainless steel, which is the home of stainless steel and arguably still makes some of the best stainless to date.
I got this beauty for my 18th birthday in November, but I was so rushed (what with moving house) that I kinda forgot that the time and effort that goes into making such fine articles can no doubt be called 'art' and was worthy of exhibit here. Even if the picture isn't that good, please take a minute to appreciate the man hours which went into crafting this.
My other knives:
Contrary to what some may think, the Bowie knife is not illegal to own in the UK, nor is it 'pointless' (if such a somewhat ironic term can be used). Whilst the blade in this instance is significantly longer than the 3" that the law states, I *never* carry it in a public area. I keep this knife with the rest of my hunting equipment, in a locked and clear standing display case.

Sexy blade there, I finally have a chance to get a good look at it now
That copper-ish coloured tip there, is that a reflection or a stain on the blade?

LIKE I'D EVER LEAVE A STAIN ON MY PRIZED POSSESION! Nope, it's a reflection from my greenscreen. It's a pure green, though, so I can see why you might see it as a copper color

Oh lol i thought it was some design pattern thing and whoops you see now how I am truly colourblind Now that i look at it properly it really is green afterall, not sure how I missed that.
Also the 3" limit is really short, if I sharpened my middle finger I be arrested for flipping someone off due to possession of a blade longer than the regulation limit.

The 3 inch rule is generally enforced by the 'longer than the width of my hand'statement, to which my response would be 'it's not my fault you have girly hands.'. Also, how one sharpens their own middle finger sufficently to call it a blade is beyond me

Heheh how can it be done? Cause asians. :3
And yeah i see that my palm is exactly 3 inches wide, i know my index finger is exactly 3 inches long too. (so my middle finger would breach the limit)
still better than a joke i made a while back about sharpening dicks for better penetrating power lol

Don't worry, it already has been I don't go out as much as I used to though - even though I'd like to -, since I've moved into the city

Ah, the demands of city life...
Well, I guess the only thing to do is to savor the time you can actually use it.
