Description
So, if you've rigged any of the 484 free pokemon models at my site (or think you can) then I want YOU to become a part of the repository. For those who have been living under the proverbial rock, the site is at [link]Advice for how to submit your rigged model is shown below:
FORMATTING YOUR ENTRY:
In order to get the models submitted as quickly as possible, please do your best to do the following when emailing your models in:
>> Export your rigged model in the .x format or .pmd
>> Call your file "XXX - YYY_Rigged" where XXX is the Pokemon Number and YYY is the filename you've rigged
>> So, for example, if I rigged the file "BR_Marowak", I would call my file "105 - BR_Marowak_Rigged"
>> Zip up your .x and/or .pmd file and textures in a Zip folder with the name of the pokemon you've rigged.
>> One Pokemon per zip file: You can put shiny rigged versions of the same pokemon in the same file, but not different pokemon
>> Ensure your model's textures have the same relative path as the original unrigged version.
>> Email them to models@roestudios.co.uk
>> Make the subject of your email "[YOUR USERNAME] RIGGED PKMN MODEL" without quotes.
>> Attach as many of those zip files as you like to the email
>> Add any comments/special requests you want to she actual email message
>> You can email the address multiple times
Doing the above will allow the automated system to index your file automatically and save time on getting your file uploaded in the repository file. Other entries that don't follow the above system may pass, but will take significantly longer to be included in an upload batch.
Feel free to PM me or contact me at the models address if you want to ask a question.
Upload batches are usually processed Thursday, Uploaded Friday. You will be emailed when your rig is added.
DO-NOTS:
>> DON'T submit un-rigged models. This is for RIGGED models only
>> DON'T submit models you have made yourself. Please only submit rigged versions of models from the repository
>> DON'T add any personal effects/textures to the model
>> DON'T submit OCs.
>> DON'T submit to any email address other than models@roestudios.co.uk
Doing any of the DO-NOTS will automatically remove your model from the indexer and you will not be credited.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
By sending your rigged models to the aforementioned address, you agree that ROEStudios may freely publish the material (for strictly non-profit) as long as you are credited in the rigging procedure with the name provided on the email. Accreditation will come in the form of your name being added to an attribution list (Anyone who uses a model you have rigged must credit you), plus any other RootOfEvilStudios promotional material.

Hey man! I'm trying to rig lati@s, like I said earlier, but there needs to be a few stitches made to the model in order to keep the wings and ears from separating from the body. Also since I'm trying to make it easily usable to anyone wanting to animate it, I'm changing the eye and mouth texture into several textures for each eye and mouth shape that can be used to animate by key-framing the texture box in blender. Do these go past your rules? Especially theseΒ

Thanks!

Nope, that doesn't break the rules. And I thought I sent a note, but it could have failed, but a simple join operation (all software should be able to do it, in blender it's ctrl+j) will attach any meshes that are detached.

Oh they aren't detached in that way. They are still part of the object, but the vertices in the wing don't connect to the vertices of the body. So you have to alt+m each vertice to stitch them together.

In that case, select all vertices and do a 'remove doubles' under the vertices menu

Since the deviantart's notes don't seem to be working for me, how would you save a .x or.pmd file in blender? Β

Send me them anyway, I'll have a look. I'm trying to build an index of only-official models though, such as ones attached to the games, so I'll see how they match up!
