What's the scientific name for the Ropen?

Technically it doesn't have one, because it isn't an officially recognized species. The one I made up for it is "Pterodaemon papuensis".

Anyways, your Pterodaemon papuensis looks like it could be "Rhamphorynchus" papuensis.

It is similar, but with a head crest. I will be redesigning this to make it look more like an Ornithocheiroid. There is really no way a Rhamphorynchoid could have survived into our time, and the Ropen is often described as being much bigger than any Rhamphorynchoid.
