but what stops the star from radiating its energy into the air/atmosphere?
'cuz radiation sickness, genetic mutation and the general act of spontaneously combusting/boiling/burning/melting/exploding doesn't do too well with my allergies to death.

Thick outer edge ring and outward-bowed triangle keep the energy in till the hydrogen starts fusing, then after that unless you're immortal you're screwed

Well, I mean, you could, like, alchemically teleport to deep space, set it up there with an energy recieving dongle and inward matter port, then teleport back to earth and activate the energy sender and watch the sky as a new star was born xD
